Bermonds Locke is a shorted listed hotel project that repurposes a disused 2010 office block into a community hub. Brought to life with repurposed materials, the design transforms the 143-room hotel into a surreal, iridescent haven, inspired by California’s Joshua Tree and Mojave desert. 

 

The ground floor features a free co-working space, a café, a meeting room for hire, and a restaurant/bar that faces a new public square, providing dedicated pedestrian-only access to Bermondsey Street’s vibrant nightlife. Tasks included: concept design, schematics, construction and detailed drawings, schedules, developed CGI’s, selecting  and coordinating FF&E packages, shop drawings and schedules of work.
